Actually things are going quite well for mom. The partial hip replacement went very well and she's eating a little and drinking again. Everyone is amazed that a hundred year old woman is doing so well. Jill and I have gotten into a pattern (at least for now) of her taking the 7am to 3 shift and I come in to be with mom from 3pm to 11pm. I figure mom can be without us for the night - surely a pack of trained nurses can keep her safe while she sleeps. She had a cute young man for her nurse today and I know she enjoyed that - was smiling while looking quizzically at him. I'm reading A Return to Love by Marianne Williams and that is such an excellent book to be reading right now - am nearly finished. Puts things in perspective. I can be happy anywhere - get through anything if I make love my goal. I still don't know how to control the typing on this iPod - don't know how to make a paragraph. Or move things around or get rid of a cut that got there by mistake. So with that - good night.
